Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Brian King

Hello and welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop featuring Special Guest Brian King. Brian has been and will continue to be an inspiration to me - He is so vibrant, full of energy which show through in projects, I just love his work. After watching his YouTube projects I now hear his cheery  voice as I read through all of his wonderful project details, tip and hints on his blog.

Brian King

Deciding what wonderful project to case was a challenge in itself, as so many of Brians projects appeal to me, one thing that stands out and gets my attention immediately is how Brian uses border repetition to create layers - I just adore them!  I also love how he incorporates DSP into his projects - something I should use more, Stamping Up DSP is just so pretty, I always look at it and are afraid to cut! Below are are a couple of cards featuring use of borders/layers and DSP - So there you have it, my CASE elements, Layers and using my DSP not just looking at how pretty it is!

An Autumn Thank You with English Garden - STAMP WITH BRIAN: Hello, It's My Party Designer Series Paper Stack, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, CYCI100:

I just adore the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack, and my favourite colour combo for this DSP was just called to be featured for this CASE.  I love these Calypso Coral flowers, I've use both the Basic Black and Very Vanilla backgrounds on this design - I couldn't choose between them!  Just love how this turned out with the diagonal band separating the DSP, such a cheery flower design, perfect for the Happy Hello sentiment from the Tin of Cards set.

Once you have worked out the size of your borders to create the layers it is super quick to put your card together, I just I had to make another to showcase It's My Party DSP.  This DSP just bursts with colour, the sentiment from Party Wishes can be used to for any occasion, even for when you just want to let someone know you are thinking of you - making this set fab as it is so much more than just for Birthdays.

I would love it if you could pin my cards! Thank you so much Brian for your time and inspiration. Thank you for everything Hues of Happiness

Hello crafty friends, I'm using one of my favourite layouts today with the simply gorgeous Hues of Happiness DSP . I decided to make the card using Pool Party cardstock to complement the blue flowers in a bed of purples, I think it turned out lovely. I added detail to the card front by using the Scalloped edge from the Scalloped Contours Dies , and heat embossed a sentiment in silver from the Color & Contour stamp set .  To finish I added a touch of bling with Rhinestone  Basic Jewels . Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month. I’ve listed the products I used below, just click on the picture and be taken directly to the product.  I truly appreciate your support, it inspires me to keep crafting and helps to keep my blog and YouTube channel running. If you live in Australia and don't already have a Demonstrator I'd love to be yours.  Hues of Happiness DSP Scalloped Contour Dies   Color & Cont

Color Fusers Blog Hop May 2024

It's time for this month's Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, our colors include Pebbled Path, Bubble Bath and Moody Mauve - perfect colours for a Mother's Day Card! I've used the new Attention Shoppers Bundle for my design - a super fun set with a mix of font and cute pictures that can be mixed and matched to be used for so many occasions. I added some InColor DSP and cut the feature circle using the online exclusive  Everyday Details Dies  - they are just amazing, I missed them being released due to being so busy at work - so take it from me, make sure you keep an eye on the Online Exclusives released each March, July and November. I decided on a "wash of colour" using Stampin' Blends then die cut with the coordinating dies. After stamping the sentiment I adhered the 3 die cut images and finished by adding a touch of bling with Silver ribbon and Basic Rhinestones. Color Fusers Blog Hop July 2024

Hello July! and welcome to this month's Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, we are featuring the Black, White and a colour of our choice. Well, I just happened to have Pretty in Pink on my desk from another project, and being pink, that became the colour of my choice! I started by grabbing a blending brush and applying Pretty in Pink, then run my fingers under the tap and splattered water onto the pink - the longer you leave the water the more colour it draws out from the card stock. When the card front had dried completely I stamped the butterfly and sentiment from Sketched Butterflies , adding splatters with a Stampin Write marker and the "splatter" stamp from Layering Leaves . To finish I splattered some Wink of Stella and added some rhinestones for that touch of bling! Fancy Folds Stampers Showcase - Hues of Happiness Circle Easel Card

Hello there crafters! You are going to love today's Stamper Showcase Blog Hop - we are all featuring FUN FOLDS, I just love a fun fold, I should really do more of them! I decided to a Circle Easel Card, it's a smaller card, but I think you will agree is just super cute, and with the Hues of Happiness DSP is just Gorgeous! This card is a relatively simple for a fun fold and comes together very quickly - I think I spent more time doing the floral arrangement than the actual fun fold itself. I took advantage of being able to die cut images directly from the Hues of Happiness DSP - I love it when we can do this with DSP, and aren't the flowers just stunning! I took 3 different flowers and some foliage and arranged to fit within the Basic White Circle cut from the largest circle die in Layering Circles Dies set, and the largest scallop die is used for the coloured section of the card. To create the card base you need to fold a piece of card stock and positon the largest die slig
