If I don't tidy as I complete a project, I get overwhelmed before I know it.. yet I still don't always put away items before starting a new project. So one thing led to another the other evening, and I decided to give my cardstock storage an over hall, changing from colour family to RAINBOW!
I store my cardstock in a corner of my studio which doesn't get any direct sunlight (which did make it a little difficult to get a good photo with colours), each colour is in a clear plastic folder, labelled with colour which are then put in Magazine holders - The magazine holders are from IKEA, and the clear folders from Officeworks ( I got them a couple of years ago, I think they were Keji A4 Clear Letter Files). The clear folders work well for storing part pieces of cardstock too.
We don't tend to have the lovely variety of storage solutions here in Australia that are available in other Countries - no Michaels, Hobby Lobby or Stamp-n-Storage - I've tried to convince my hubby that he "needs" some wood tools to custom make storage solutions for me, that's a work in progress though.
After
I started with Whisper White being a high use colour, which lead to Neutrals, then ROYGBIV. Initially I didn't include the Incolors, but I thought it would get the better of me if I didn't, so I went full rainbow and sorted them in too.
I know your “rainbow order” might be different to what I've used, if you’d like to take my suggestion above, feel free to give it a try or share with others. If you prefer to store yours in a different way, that’s totally great, too!!

Rainbow sorting just makes sense to me! I store mine in hanging file folders in drawers right next to my desk. Holds scraps well. I never would be able to find a color if I sorted by SU family!!!
