Slimline Christmas Layers

As 2020 continues as a year that I can not have imagined, I'm thinking its not to early to prepare for Christmas... as I may need extra cards this year, because who knows what stage of lockdown or restrictions we will be in moving forward? We hope less, but in the past weeks in Australia we have had a State go into Stage 4 - it is very odd to see Victorian freeways empty due to the curfews, when I lived there almost 20 years ago they were packed bumper to bumper.

The first step for this card was to create the "greenery", I sponged a mix of Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz and Garden Green onto a piece of cardstock, then splattered with some water.

Next I cut one of the edge dies from the above cardstock, then I turned the cardstock over and cut from the back for the second - this gave me "mirror image" die cuts.

After embossing the sentiment (from Snowman Season) I decided I wanted a rustic feel for the card, so I tore up the edges of the Sahara Sand and did a little "crumpling" before adhering to the Real Red Mat and to the Garden Green card base. A Linen Thread bow and some Red Rhinestones later the card was complete.
