Baby Girl Card

I've made it back again this week for #GDP003, I saw the theme earlier this week and have been racking my brain as to what I could come up with, here it is:

If you haven't already guessed here is the theme for this week:

I made the pram by cutting a circle from framelits, then marked halfway, and in the upper portion divided into 6 to work out where I wanted to fold to create the top of the pram (I did a test run on plain paper, and worked out that I only need score 4 of the 6 lines).

Now the dilemma, I rummaged through my DSP and wasn't happy with anything I was finding, they were all to busy or bright and wouldn't highlight the folds in the pram, that's when it hit me - I was partially taken with  a card from #GDP002 by Guest Design Team Member Carolina Evans, I can use the little flower from the Cottage Greetings stamp set!

Surprise, I just had to use pink! I decided on Blushing Bride and stamped in the same ink to give a delicate effect, it's such a cute little flower, but I needed some thing more..... the squiggly border from Tin of Cards, stamped with Versamark and embossed with silver - just perfect for baby don't you think?

I created 2 sets of wheels, but wasn't happy with either, so I tried out my latest purchase; the Banner Triple Punch - its awesome!  The sentiment is also from Tin of Cards.

    1. Thanks Jess - I'm glad I followed through with the idea of folding the card, makes for something a little bit "outside the square"

Fancy Folds Stampers Showcase - Hues of Happiness Circle Easel Card

Hello there crafters! You are going to love today's Stamper Showcase Blog Hop - we are all featuring FUN FOLDS, I just love a fun fold, I should really do more of them! I decided to a Circle Easel Card, it's a smaller card, but I think you will agree is just super cute, and with the Hues of Happiness DSP is just Gorgeous! This card is a relatively simple for a fun fold and comes together very quickly - I think I spent more time doing the floral arrangement than the actual fun fold itself. I took advantage of being able to die cut images directly from the Hues of Happiness DSP - I love it when we can do this with DSP, and aren't the flowers just stunning! I took 3 different flowers and some foliage and arranged to fit within the Basic White Circle cut from the largest circle die in Layering Circles Dies set, and the largest scallop die is used for the coloured section of the card. To create the card base you need to fold a piece of card stock and positon the largest die slig...

Thank you for everything Hues of Happiness

Hello crafty friends, I'm using one of my favourite layouts today with the simply gorgeous Hues of Happiness DSP . I decided to make the card using Pool Party cardstock to complement the blue flowers in a bed of purples, I think it turned out lovely. I added detail to the card front by using the Scalloped edge from the Scalloped Contours Dies , and heat embossed a sentiment in silver from the Color & Contour stamp set .  To finish I added a touch of bling with Rhinestone  Basic Jewels . Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month. Color Fusers Blog Hop April 2025

Welcome to this month's Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, we are featuring Lemon Lime Twist, Balmy Blue and Gorgeous Grape - I'd totally forgotten about Lemon Lime Twist.... but the colour of this ink is my inspiration. Maybe, just a twist of Lime I thought as I looked at the new Online Exclusive Cheers & Sips....... My husband purchased a "slushy machine before summer, and it has had quite a workout over the past few months - and believe it or not these colours are just some of the flavours we have enjoyed (Fruit Tingle, Midori  Illusion and Margarita mix). To create the drink colours I applied ink to a stamping block, spritzed with water then placed the block onto cardstock. Once dry I stamped the cup outline and then die cut. In the theme of the stampset, I hand drew the stick for the umbrella and the edge outline on the base. Color Fusers Blog Hop August 2025

Welcome to this month's Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! Today we are creating with Darling Duckling, Basic Grey and Basic White. I had the Impressions Abloom bundle on my desk, and when looking at the colours immediately thought of daisies, next I reached for my Fancy Border dies.  I cut the border in all 3 colours and layered to create an extra layer of interest into my design. I simply adore the tiny flowers in the bundle, a great alternative to add and element instead of my signature rhinestones, but I did add a hint of silver bling with some offcuts of ribbon that were on my desk - waste not, not want and my mother always said to me when she taught me dress making! Color Fusers Blog Hop May 2025

Welcome to this month's Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, are introducing the new 2025-2027 In Colors. I decided to feature all the colours on one card, and started to cut matching circles using the Spotlight on Nature dies, the proceeded to make different colour combos using the circles. It was a really fun process and a great way to experiment with the new colours. To be honest, I wasn't sure about Cloud Cover and Secret Sea.... but I've found love for both of these when creating todays card as I saw how they can shine on their own and with other colours.   What I mean my this is that to my surprise Cloud Cover was more blue than grey when paired with Basic white all my itself - my immediate thought was ohhhh baby blue!
