Swirly Sneak Peek Just for You

Today I'm mixing a bit of the old and with a bit of the new, so you get to have a sneak peak at Swirly Bird - one of the new sets available in the 2016 -2017 Annual Catalogue. I've used one of the designs from the It's my Party DSP pack for the background (yay, I cut into another sheet), and then Swirly Bird has been for the stamped images and die cut is from the Swirly Scribbles thinlets - these items will also be available as a bundle.  I think you will see a lot of this set as it has endless possibilities for a variety of themes and designs. The 2 smaller flowers are stamped with Sweet Sugarplum and Flirty Flamingo - both from the 2016-2018 In Color collection.  I made a small banner and stamped with one of the many sentiments from Teeny Tiny Sentiments I also stamped one of the corners on the inside of the card Thanks for stopping by today, hope you enjoyed the sneak peek!  I would love to update you when I create a post! If you would like t...

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Dena Rekow

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop, this month we have Dena Rekow joining us as special guest.  If you have never visited Dena's blog - The Creativity Cave , be sure to make you way over and you will find so many inspiring projects and tutorials. I love Dena's touch of quirky humour in her tutorials, there is always something that puts a smile on my face. As I was scrolling through the Creativity Cave to decide what project to CASE (Copy And selectively Edit), I decided when she nailed me with her below creations - I'll admit it, I'm a DSP hoarder,.... I have every intention and so many ideas in my head, but it's just so pretty I don't want to cut into those lovely sheets! What caught my attention with these cards was how Dena used thinlets to showcase the DSP.  Here is my take on this technique:   I faced my usual fear as I cut my It's My Party DSP ! I layered onto Basic Black and Crushed Curry, the small stars are cut ...

Boys Will Be Boys

Maybe it is because I have watched the Star Wars saga within the past fortnight, but I couldn't help myself when I took a look at Boys Will Be Boys  stamp set on my shelf - maybe it was "the force" telling me to use this set again as it is retiring on May 31st! My robot has a lot more blue than R2D2, but I think he is still as cute! I've made a resolve to try to use my Designer Series Paper (rather than just look at how pretty it is), and it is still a struggle, but YAY! I did it - I cut a sheet of It's My Party DSP  for the back drop to my clunky little friend! This set brings back memories of growing up, Lego, building blocks and a YoYo!  The layout and colour combo of this card are inspired by the following challenges:    Hope you enjoyed viewing my card today, I would love to update you when I create a post! Party Wishes Bakers Box

Kids and parties, here's a cute idea for a "Thank you" using the Baker's Box Thinlets I've used It's My Party DSP  to make the box; as these sheets are 12 x 12 you can make 2 boxes with one sheet.  I also added a strip of the DSP as a layer on the banners which I cut with the Triple Banner Punch . The sentiment and the balloons are from the Party Wishes Bundle , there are 3 cute little punches with this bundle.   The box is closed using a Clothespin  (easy to open and close) with  Bakers Twine  from the It's my Party suite tied in a bow for decoration. Hope you enjoyed viewing my project today,  I would love to update you when I create a post! If you would like to receive an email from me when I do  Click Here . Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Brian King

Hello and welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop featuring Special Guest Brian King.  Brian has been and will continue to be an inspiration to me - He is so vibrant, full of energy which show through in projects, I just love his work.  After watching his YouTube projects I now hear his cheery  voice as I read through all of his wonderful project details, tip and hints on his blog.     Deciding what wonderful project to case was a challenge in itself, as so many of Brians projects appeal to me, one thing that stands out and gets my attention immediately is how Brian uses border repetition to create layers - I just adore them!  I also love how he incorporates DSP into his projects - something I should use more, Stamping Up DSP is just so pretty, I always look at it and are afraid to cut! Below are are a couple of cards featuring use of borders/layers and DSP -  So there you have it, my CASE elements, Layers and using my DSP not just look...

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Dawn Griffith

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop, we have the great pleasure to be CASEing our special guest Dawn Griffith.   I have been a long time viewer of Dawn's video tutorials, and I love making treat boxes, so it seemed fitting to CASE  (Copy And Selectively Edit)   this project by Dawn: Hershey Kisses are not a common chocolate here in Australia, instead I have created this super cute Gift Card holder that also houses 6  Ferrero Rocher's:   You can dress this project up to suit any occasion, and as the box is made with cardstock it is quite sturdy you could substitute to hold a different treat, Lindor, Cadbury Roses even candles.  I've used It's My Party DSP  and the Party Wishes  stamp set today.   I cut the Ferrero window with the Decorative Label Punch ,  You might be thinking that the sentiment looks a little different to the stamp in the set, I have used masking to spread over 3 lines rather than 2...
