Sending Sunshine to Brighten Your Day

Hello crafty friends, today is Share it Sunday, and what I love most about this blog hop is "anything goes".  Its been a while since I made a slimline card, and I've recently received my order with the Rays of Light background stamp..... that was my starting point for today's card. I used the Stamparatus to apply Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo and Fresh Freesia to the background stamp - I used a dauber, applying one colour at a time, and restamping if I wanted a deeper colour. As I stamped, my thoughts were "why was this stamp not on my first wish list?", I am totally in love with it! Because I had chosen a slimline style card, the stamp didn't cover the entire length of the card, so I decided to add a layer of clouds to the top and bottom of the card using a Basic Border die. I stamped the sentiment from the Sending Smiles stamp set and clear embossed "sunshine to brighten your day" before die cutting the cloud edge and mounting with Dimen...

Stamparatus hack for stencilling

Happy New Year crafty friends! Today I have a great hack for stencilling using the Stamparatus.  For the best stencilled image we want to hold our stencil in one place, so why not use the Stamparatus to do this!!! This hack/technique worked a treat creating the rainbow stencilled background, I started with the magnet in the lower corner and moved to the top right during the stencilling process to free up the bottom corner for applying the ink. I used Magenta Madness, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana and Fresh Freesia for my rainbow. The sentiment is from Biggest Wish , and is cut with a Stitched Rectangle die with the underlying banner using the small banner from the Tasteful Labels dies. The stencil is from the  Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks pack (available in the Mini Catalogue from 4th January) Want to see more detatils of how I made this card you can see more process I did to make this card on my Idea Pin HERE .  Thanks for v...

Colorful Seasons make me smile

Welcome to this months Stampin' Friends Blog Hop. This month's theme is Fall. It's not something that we celebrate in Australia, so Iv'e created projects using autumn colours... which is a bit out of my comfort zone.   Orange's are not my thing, so to ease into the theme I incorporated Petal Pink, now that's more me!   I sponged Petal Pink, Pumpkin Pie and Cherry Cobbler on Very Vanilla for my leaves. Since I wasn't in my normal zone I ruffed up a scrap of Petal Pink and ran it through the Corrugated Embossing folder, then I roughed the edges a little more - where is the real Sue Vine? To get a nice dark stamping on the sentiment I used the Stamparatus and applied and stamped Cherry Cobbler multiple times. Lastly I dressed up my gift candle by wrapping a piece of coordinating Petal Pink and secured by tying with Linen Thread and adding a couple of spare leaves. I hope the projects you've seen here on my blo...

On Stage | Sydney 2018

What do you get when you combine 288 die cuts with 144 pieces of card stock, ribbon, twine and Metallic Thread? Card swaps of course!!!!! Thank goodness for the Stamparatus - it saved me so much time with my stamping, and I needed that time for those delicate die cuts and tying bows on the tags #whatwasithinking !!! But then I realised, this design is all me - I love detail and layers, and I want to share what I love with others, so this is just perfect. I used both sides of both plates and also triple stamped the Soft Sky background with the Touches of Texture moving the plate down a notch each time - talk about easy peasy lemon squeezy! I used a magnet to hold the tag in place whist stamping, which meant I could double stamp if I missed inking it all over without and it would line up perfectly, yay - believe me I didn't want to have to cut any more of those delicate die cuts! After cutting the Whisper White tags I made the cards in batches - I like to do...
