Abigail Rose Suite with the All Star Tutorial Team

Hello crafters, a new month, means a new All Star Tutorial. This month we are showcasing the  Abigail Rose suite  from the July-Dec 2022 Mini Catalogue. The All Star Tutorial Design Team not only design a Tutorial Project that’s exclusive but we also each design an additional project to share here for further inspiration. I've used the Cottage Rose bundle for the flowers on my card today, with Abigail Rose DSP for the background. I used blending brushes to apply Petal Pink and Old Olive to the stamped images before die cutting them. I added some Highlights with Stampin Blends in the middle of the flowers and edges of the leaves. I used the edge die from Penned Flowers dies for the scalloped edge, and Lovely Labels Pick a Punch for the sentiment, finishing with some Linen Thread and Champagne Rhinestones . Abigail Rose Inspiration Below is a sneak peek of what’s in store with this month’s Tutorial Bundle. You’ll see my teaser in the bottom left of the image.  There is...

Quick Tip: how to align stamps to use with coordinating punch

today I thought I would share a quick tip with you that I used when making yesterdays card. My mum taught me "waste not, want not" when she was showing me how to lay out patterns when dress making (she never purchased the suggested amount of material, always less), and this tip is how to make the most of your card stock when stamping items when cutting with a coordinating punch. Step 1 Grap a piece of cardstock and make a template for the punch - I store this in the case with the stamps for future use. Step 2 Using the template as a guide, position the coordinating stamps and push onto a clear block Step 3 Stamp the image on cardstock. In this case I only stamped and punched the flowers as I wasn't using the leaves in my finished project. You can stamp the images multiple times if you are making lots of the punched item, this can also save a lot of time! Step 4 Now all that is left to do is Punch! Your image is spaced/lined up perfectly :) Here's a look at the finishe...

Thank You for Everything Flowers of Friendship

Hello crafty friends, todays card is for Kylie Bertucci's International Highlights, our Theme: Thank you. A little kindness can truly brighten someone's day, and what better way than to send a  card. I've used the new Flowers of Friendship stamp & punch bundle from page 78 of the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue, with the new In Colors. I started by stamping and punching the flowers, then coloured with Stampin Blends. I decided to also use my new favourite dies - Scalloped Contours. I created the striped background by cutting half centimetre pieces and attaching to a piece of Basic White, then trimmed it a little smaller than my card base. After popping the scalloped frame up with dimensionals, I added a touch of bling with In Color Jewels to complete. If my card put a smile on your face, please click below to vote for me; the top ten will get to be part of an international blog hop which I would love to be part of. You can do that by clicking on the icon below: Thanks for vi...

Memory Keeping with Sweet Soiree

I did it, and I couldn't be happier! Way back when I was preparing for OnStage in November I wanted to make a scrapbook page, well, time got the better of me and it didn't happen, but last night I came across the photos I had chosen, so today I've finally made the Scrapbook page, YAY ME! I've used half a sheet of the gorgeous  Sweet Soirée Specialty Designer Series Paper and pre cut elements from the  Sweet Soirée Embellishment Kit - both of these items are retiring on May 31st so be quick before they are gone, and as an added bonus the DSP is also discounted, woot happy days! I used sentiments from Eastern Beauty , and a May Flower Framelit Die to add to the floral arrangement - I just love how easy it is to mix and match Stampin' Up! items. The  Decorative Ribbon Border Punch was also a perfect accompaniment, and lastly a strip of Velvet Ribbon (available June 1st). Here's hoping to this being the first of many more 12 x 1...

We Must Celebrate | Kelly's Stampin Friends Birthday Blog Hop

Happy Birthday Kelly!!!! I hope you are having an amazing day! I'm here today with many other Stamping Friends to celebrate Kelly Kent's birthday and I can' wait to see what everyone else has created to share with us today. I'm a regular visitor to Kelly's blog, and adore her creations. I was blown away when she contacted me on messenger last November after I presented at OnStage in Melbourne, and we had a lovely chat - I love that Stampin' Up! brings people from all over Australia and the world together. With that in mind, h ere's my creation in honour of Kelly, I so hope to catch up with you face to face at the next Stampin' Up! event. I love the cute critters in the We Must Celebrate set, I coloured with Stampin Blends and cut out the images to create my furry friends scene. I stamped the foliage in the background and divided up the 4 critters so I could layer them using dimensionals, here's a different view of the la...
