Happy with Cupcakes & Carousels Masculine Birthday

I wish I had learnt how to chop into my Designer Series Paper sooner! It is such a great way to pull a card together when you have limited time, and instead of hoarding all those lovely DSP patterns you share with your creations. Here is a card I came up with this morning: The layout of this card is inspired by this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch! challenge : I love the rustic feel of the Cupcakes and Carousels DSP, these banners combined with the die cut sentiment from Hello You look superb, and with a little masking of a stamp from Balloon Adventures I had my card done in no time. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project.  I would love to update you when I create a post! If you would like to receive an email from me when I do  Click Here . Hello Falling Flowers

I'm getting back into the swing of creating this weekend, what better way to get back into the groove than participate in some challenges, and even better when you can combine two!          I love both sketches and colour challenges, the sketch straight away reminded me of one of my current favourite Stamp sets - Falling Flowers , here is card I was inspired to create: I have used 2 stamps from Falling Flowers to create my card, the flower was stamped, and then using the Stamp-a-jig I lined up the stamp to create the stem, masking the leaf at the top.  I used an Aqua painter to colour, and then added clear Wink of Stella for shimmer. The sentiment is created using the Hello You thinlets , I cut 3 sentiments and used a dauber to apply the glue to the back of each, layering them slightly offset, then applying to the card. Enamel shapes are always handy to till in a little white space - I find them to be a great finishing touch. ...

Crazy About You | Falling Flowers

It's been a while since I joined in at the Global Design Project's challenge, this week the theme is:  RAK - Random Acts of Kindness Today being World Card Making day, I think it quite fitting to make this set of RAK cards: The sentiments are stamped from Crazy About You , and Hello You Thinlits Dies  - I cut 2 of each of the dies, one in black and the other in colour, then slightly off set them to create a shadow.      My mini cards measure 9.9cm square, the gorgeous flourish from Falling Flowers  looks so stunning stamped in Black I decided not to add any colour, instead 3 Fancy Frost Sequins  which coordinated beautifully with the Bermuda Bay, Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach cardstock.  I also stamped the inside of my cards, they just look lovely. Mixed Borders - not just for borders! | GDP042

Today I'm playing along with the Global Design Project , this week they have a wonderful sketch challenge:   And here's my card: I stamped the Blushing Bride background using Work of Art  on Shimmery White card stock, and gorgeous delicate flowers are from the new Mixed Borders  stamp set - not just for Borders after all, lol!      Here's a close up that shows the beautiful shimmer of the card stock. I love the double banner in the sketch and carried this theme through the entire sentiment on the card by double cutting and layering "you" using the Hello You Thinlits Dies . The  Crazy About You  stamp set has a great selection of sentiments to coordinate with these thinlets. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project.  I would love to update you when I create a post! If you would like to receive an email from me when I do  Click Here .
