Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Nadine Weiner

Today you are in for a treat with the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop, we have the pleasure of CASEing Nadine Weiner, you may be familiar with her gorgeous creations at Nadines Stampin Club I spent way too much time viewing Nadine's creations, I was inspired to try a technique using Glossy cardstock and Ink refills, but after multiple attempts my creation didn't do Nadine justice, so I went back to the drawing board with hours to spare and re-selected my project to case. I've cased the basic layout with the fine layer (one of my absolute loves), and of course the use of DSP - a great way to come up with beautiful cards when you have limited time #loveitchopit I swapped the white out for Rich Razzleberry, and heat embossed the sentiment and layer in silver to compliment the silver foil in the DSP design. As the Sweet Soiree DSP has larger images I didn't add any additional elements - this gorgeous paper does all the work, so much so I had time to make a...

Ghosting with Cake Soiree

Hello, welcome to the April Go for Greece Blog Hop which is a part of the Go For Greece demonstrator training group. A supportive and sharing community has built up and is led by Kylie Bertucci.  As part of the Go For Greece group are all working towards achieving the Stampin’ Up! annual trip this year, which is a trip to the Greek Isles for two people, wouldn’t that be just amazing!!!!!? I'm working with one of my favourite suites today - sentimental as I did a presentation of the Sweet Soiree Suite at the Melbourne OnStage event in November, so very close to my heart as whilst doing a presentation in front of 100's of demonstrators was way out of my comfort zone, the "personal stretch" to do so was so rewarding. My card today features the "ghosting technique", what's that you say? In a nut shell you create the illusion  of a  lighter shadow behind  a main colour focal point by stamping with white craft ink first and then with colour ove...

On Stage | Sydney 2018

What do you get when you combine 288 die cuts with 144 pieces of card stock, ribbon, twine and Metallic Thread? Card swaps of course!!!!! Thank goodness for the Stamparatus - it saved me so much time with my stamping, and I needed that time for those delicate die cuts and tying bows on the tags #whatwasithinking !!! But then I realised, this design is all me - I love detail and layers, and I want to share what I love with others, so this is just perfect. I used both sides of both plates and also triple stamped the Soft Sky background with the Touches of Texture moving the plate down a notch each time - talk about easy peasy lemon squeezy! I used a magnet to hold the tag in place whist stamping, which meant I could double stamp if I missed inking it all over without and it would line up perfectly, yay - believe me I didn't want to have to cut any more of those delicate die cuts! After cutting the Whisper White tags I made the cards in batches - I like to do...
