Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop - Mothers

Hello, as you know it's been a pretty full week, with lots of group events, and today is no different with the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop - our theme this month "Mothers" We have Mother's Day coming up in May in Australia, so I'm taking the opportunity to get prepared! I've used items from Fine Art Floral & Dressed to Impress. I stamped the Fine Art Floral images with Blushing Bride and Merry Merlot with Mossy Meadow for the leaves, then cut with the coordinating dies.  I used the soon to be retiring "Scripty 3D Embossing Folder" for the background and added a matt of Mossy Meadow, before adding the sentiment from Dresssed to Impress. I made the cute gift bag using matching Fine Art Floral DSP and the All Dressed Up dies - I meant to add Gilded Gems where the straps met the bag, but it was too late to take another photo, but I think you will be able to image what that would look like. For more ideas for the special Mother figures in our lives, cont...

Dressed to Impress with Just Add Ink #524

Hello crafty friends, I've got a gorgeous slimline card for you today, inspired by the colour challenge at Just Add Ink and my friend Carolina Evans. As soon as I saw these colours I headed to the Dressed to Impress stamp set, and with these gorgeous "me colours" I went with a slim line design so I could stamp a few more images. Isn't the colour combination just beautiful! I haven't really used much (if any) Merry Merlot before, but it perfectly complimented by Rococco Rose and Mint Macaron, there really wasn't much for me to do, except add a little bling, a girl always needs a little sparkle. To soften the card base I stamped the flower with VersaMark ink, it gives a lovely delicate feel to the design and doesn't take you away form the main stamping in the card. I utilised the Stitched So Sweetly dies for the scalloped edge masking the join of the 2 two rectangles with the sentiment dies.  I adapted my slimline dimensions to fit the Australian standard D...

Best Dressed with the All Star Design Team

Welcome to this months All Star Design Team blog hop, we are featuring more creations with the Best Dressed Suite. Today I decided to focus on the gorgeous patterned paper in the suite, I just cant resist the colour pallet and beautiful feminine designs. The layout is based on one of my favourite "go to designs" for using DSP, except today I didn't do my usual raised card front - I kept things flat, with just a hint of coordinating Old Olive cardstock to frame the lovely floral design. I just love the simplicity of this design, it shows less can be more  with with paper as beautiful as this. Continue through the list below to see more creations from the design team: Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month.  I’ve listed the products I used below, just click on the picture and be taken directly to the product.  I truly appreciate your suppo...

Best Dressed for Mother's Day

Easter has been and gone, and what a strange Easter it was with social distancing, in Australia Mother's Day will be upon us soon, and again it will be very different for many of us as we will not be able to be face to face with our Mothers. So with that in mind I thought I would get some mojo happening for Mother's Day creations so they can be put in the post in time for this special day. I've added detail to the edge of the card with an edge die from the Be Mine Dies - it is one of my "go to' dies, I love the combination of scallops and stitching.  The sentiment was proving a problem for me, it wasn't huge, but I wanted it to be a focus, so I got out my Stitched Labels dies and had a bit of a play, and after adding a little detail to the Blushing Bride die cut was happy with the result. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month.  I’ve listed the products I use...
