Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Valerie Moody

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with special guest Valerie Moody. It is such a pleasure to be hopping with Valerie, she has lived my dream - being selected to be on the Stampin Up! Artisan team! and now I have the opportunity to CASE - Copy and Selectively Edit one of her creations - Yay! I love how "clean" Valeries designs are, I must admit I struggle with a CAS (Clean and Simple) card, I never know when to stop, and before I know it my card is no longer CAS! I selected the following card to  CASE from Valerie's amazing work: I love how Valerie has stamped the background of this card to give a water coloured effect - I great way to get the effect if watercolouring isn't your "thing". I also like layered effect of the clouds and the balloon. Here is my take on the design: I used the work of Art stamp set to create my background, stamping off once with Soft Sky before stamping on the Whisper White cardstock. I really like this...

Mixed Borders - not just for borders! | GDP042

Today I'm playing along with the Global Design Project , this week they have a wonderful sketch challenge:   And here's my card: I stamped the Blushing Bride background using Work of Art  on Shimmery White card stock, and gorgeous delicate flowers are from the new Mixed Borders  stamp set - not just for Borders after all, lol!      Here's a close up that shows the beautiful shimmer of the card stock. I love the double banner in the sketch and carried this theme through the entire sentiment on the card by double cutting and layering "you" using the Hello You Thinlits Dies . The  Crazy About You  stamp set has a great selection of sentiments to coordinate with these thinlets. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project.  I would love to update you when I create a post! If you would like to receive an email from me when I do  Click Here . Work of Art with Endless Birthday Wishes

Today I am playing along with the sketch challenge at the Global Design Project, here is my take on the sketch: Surprisingly a simple sketch can be a little daunting depending on your frame of mind at the time - I viewed the Design Teams projects slept on it and then I had it, then I just had to find time to put ink to cardstock! Finally a few hectic days I have my completed project, below is Teneale's sketch: I stamped the background using 3 of the stamps from Work of Art  - love this set!       I couldn't help but bling up the sentiment from Endless Birthday Wishes  a little - I've used Iridescent embossing powder on top of Basic Black, love this sparkly shimmery effect! Here's a photo up close: Thanks for stopping by today, I would love to update you when I create a post! If you would like to receive an email from me when I do  Click Here .
