Corrugated Falling Flowers

I'm back with one of my favourite sets today, Falling Flowers - I adore the flourish and bold lines on the floral designs. I decided to mix it up with the new Corrugated Dynamic Textured Impressions embossing folder (148026, available 5th September) and played along at Just Add Ink My "Two" are Embossing Powder and Embossing Folder, I embossed my sentiment from A Big Thank You - I just love this sentiment on a floral card. I used Stampin Markers to colour the flowers, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Mango Melody and Daffodil Delight, with Lemon Lime Twist for the leaves. I fussy cut the flourish and used the coordinating  May Flower Framelits to cut the flowers, and added Rhinestone Jewels for bling... But couldn't resist spritzing with a spray of Frost White Shimmer Paint (147046, available 5th September) too - I'm obsessed with this stuff! It really "lifted" the the basic black and stepped the card up a notch. ...

Serene Garden Smooching

Welcome to today's Crazy Crafters blog hop with special guest Alison Solven from Canada, you may be familiar with her blog Stamp Crazy with Alison , if not you should check it out! Our task today is to CASE (copy and selectively edit one of Alison's creations, I was inspired by this creation: I love the emboss resist technique, but instead of Brusho's for my colour, I've chosen to do some "smooching" and then used an aqua painter for colouring the detail of the Serene Garden stamp , here is what I was inspired to create: I've copper embossed the image from Serene Garden and used the gorgeous Mint Macaron for my smooched background, then darkened the foliage with an Aqua Painter using Shaded Spruce, and added Lovely Lipstick for a pop of colour.  Next I stamped the edge of the card base with the delicate leaves, then embossed the sentiment from A Big Thank You and dressed up with a Basic Brad threaded with Copper Metallic Th...

Contrast for Garden Impressions

Spots and stripes are contrasting and look great together, so why not flowers from Garden Impressions with stripes, I decided to give it a go, here's what it looks like: The  Simple Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder  not only gave this project stripes, but embossing them also gave it texture. I didn't want the sentiment to be too large, "hello" from A Big Thank You was perfect for what I had in mind. And you know me, I need a little bling... so I added a Gold Thread Bow and some Artisan Pearls to the floral banner. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more projects using Designer Series paper this month. Friends with Garden Impressions

It's week 2 of July and I am still going strong with my personal challenge of using Designer Series Paper in every card for July! Yay me! Today I have another creation using Garden Impressions , I will admit this paper has really grown on me - I wasn't a fan to begin with, but I am converted! I've used a basic layout for this card, with no embellishments (oh my, am I ok?) well I might just count the embossed stitching line as an embellishment (phew, that feels better, lol). Pacific Point with a signature pop of pink in the form of a Melon Mambo layer coordinate beautifully with this pattern - bright colours like this do tend to scare me, but I am loving this card, and that I has me out of my pastel comfort zone. I decided this sentiment from " A Big Thank You ", was just perfect with the floral DSP, and I like the simplicity of the font in this design too. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tu...
