Flowers of Friendship

Hello crafty friends, todays card is for Kylie Bertucci's International Highlights, our Theme: Thank you. A little kindness can truly brighten someone's day, and what better way than to send a  card. I've used the new Flowers of Friendship stamp & punch bundle from page 78 of the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue. I've used Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Flirty Flamingo and Soft Succulent Blends for my colouring, then arranged down the side of the card. I added some splatters with my Black marker for added interest, and finished with Matt Black Dots. If my card put a smile on your face, please click below to vote for me; the top ten will get to be part of an international blog hop which I would love to be part of. You can do that by clicking on the icon below: Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month.  I’ve listed the products I used below, just click on the picture and be taken directly to the ...

ESAD Annual Catalogue Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the ESAD Annual Catalogue Blog Hop. We're so excited to share our creations with you and we're certain that you will find great tips and inspiration.  As with any new catalogue I make my wish list by looking over the catalogue a number of times before I do an order, (it's amazing how many things you don't see on your first or even second look at the catalogue). My "final cut" for my first is rated from the items I list the most to the least, and the Flowers of Friendship Bundle was right up there, a particular sample creation really took my eye, and today that sample is the inspiration of my card. My rainbow consists of Flirty Flamingo, Fresh Freesia, Balmy Blue, Pool Party, So Saffron & Pale Papaya, with So Succulent leaves, I've used both Light & Dark Stampin' Blends to colour each element. I traced a light circled onto the embossed layer to assist with laying out the flowers, then filled gaps with leaves. I used both Mi...

Quick Tip: how to align stamps to use with coordinating punch

today I thought I would share a quick tip with you that I used when making yesterdays card. My mum taught me "waste not, want not" when she was showing me how to lay out patterns when dress making (she never purchased the suggested amount of material, always less), and this tip is how to make the most of your card stock when stamping items when cutting with a coordinating punch. Step 1 Grap a piece of cardstock and make a template for the punch - I store this in the case with the stamps for future use. Step 2 Using the template as a guide, position the coordinating stamps and push onto a clear block Step 3 Stamp the image on cardstock. In this case I only stamped and punched the flowers as I wasn't using the leaves in my finished project. You can stamp the images multiple times if you are making lots of the punched item, this can also save a lot of time! Step 4 Now all that is left to do is Punch! Your image is spaced/lined up perfectly :) Here's a look at the finishe...

Thank You for Everything Flowers of Friendship

Hello crafty friends, todays card is for Kylie Bertucci's International Highlights, our Theme: Thank you. A little kindness can truly brighten someone's day, and what better way than to send a  card. I've used the new Flowers of Friendship stamp & punch bundle from page 78 of the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue, with the new In Colors. I started by stamping and punching the flowers, then coloured with Stampin Blends. I decided to also use my new favourite dies - Scalloped Contours. I created the striped background by cutting half centimetre pieces and attaching to a piece of Basic White, then trimmed it a little smaller than my card base. After popping the scalloped frame up with dimensionals, I added a touch of bling with In Color Jewels to complete. If my card put a smile on your face, please click below to vote for me; the top ten will get to be part of an international blog hop which I would love to be part of. You can do that by clicking on the icon below: Thanks for vi...
