Arrange a Wreath for Easter - Twine Bow Technique

Hello, welcome to the Technique Tuesday Blog hop - today it is all about Ribbon - to say I am "bow challenged" when it comes to making bows is an understatement, so  today I am sharing a technique that I use to make my twine bows. I like to add a little touch of embellishment or bling to all my cards, but sometimes it was taking me as long to tie a bow as it did to make the card, and I would get so frustrated.... until in 2017 I came across the  " Billie Bow ", I don't like to make my bows as bulky so here is how I create mine: Continue through the list below to see more tips and techniques using ribbons: I'm also joining 2 challenges with this card: I used the Arrange a Wreath Bundle to create my project, cutting and stamping images with colours from Fab Friday I embossed a strip of White cardstock with Pinewood Planks for the edge of the card to tie in the sketch from the Global Design Project . I was totally in my element creating this card, die cuts, lay...

Wreath Builder Love

Hello, and welcome to the Crafty Collaboration Love Blog Hop . Valentines Day is all but a month away, but we don't need to wait for that special day to remind special people in our lifes how much they mean to us. My card today has not stamping! Wait, what, that's right, it's all done with die cuts and an embossing folder, and of course there is a touch of bling. I used the Wreath Builder dies for the feature, using Granny Apple Green and my new favourite Magenta Madness. For the matting layer I used one of the Meadow Moments embossing folders . Be sure to continue through the Hop and see all of our Love themed designs, you are currently viewing Sue Vine - Miss Pinks Craft Spot: Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stampin Friends October 2020 Blog Hop

Hello, the Stampin Friends Blog Hop is here for October, our theme today "Thanks/Thankful". I've used the Arrange a Wreath Bundle and Buffalo Check stamp set for my creation.  I began by cutting a Cajun Craze and Mossy Meadow wreath, then intertwined them, then cut 3 Crushed Curry flowers. After working out the arrangement I wanted something more, that more was the Buffalo Check, so I stamped in Crushed Curry, but it still wasn't what I was hoping for.....so I stepped up the check to plaid by ruling lines with my Stampin' Markers, that did the trick, tying all the elements together. I trimmed the plaid panel and adhered to the card and attached the wreath using a mix of glue and dimensionals , I also added a little Linen Thread for bling (not all bling shines) and lastly added the sentiment. For the treat box I partially stamped the wreath after cutting with the Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box , then cut some wreath elements from scraps and threaded through the handle...

Stampers Showcase September 2020

It's almost the end of September, how quickly the month went by, it's time for the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop, our them this month is Fall, Autumn, or Halloween. I decided to use a selection of Autumn tones for my feature using the Arrange a Wreath Bundle, I totally adore this set! Now, if you follow me, you will know that yellows and oranges are not my thing, so this was a bit of a challenge. I sponged and blended Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze onto a piece of whisper white cardstock, then flicked with water, which not only gives a lovely effect but also softened those yellows and oranges for me, and Cajun Craze even displays a slight pink hue.... now that's more my colour zone! I cut one wreath, then additional pieces out of the scraps and added to the arrangement to give me detail and dimension, adding Lined Bow to complete, then I continued the blended theme into the sentiment too. I can't wait for you to see all the other inspiration from the new catalo...
