Vintage Wonderful Romance

After sorting through what product will be retiring I just had to do something that felt more practical.... so of to challenge blogs I went for inspiration, and I found just what I was looking for at Freshly Made Sketches & TGIF Challenges .       And here is what I was inspired to create using the soon to be retiring Wonderful Romance bundle. To create the sepia tones I stamped the images with Soft Suede, then coloured with Light & Dark Crumb Cake, Bronze and Light Rich Razzleberry. I offset a layer of Crumb Cake lattice with a scalloped edge under the Very Vanilla, that really made the card look different. I mounted the stamped images using dimensionals, lastly adding gorgeous oval cut sentiment.  I'm really going to miss the variety in the amazing bundle, so many elements to choose from, use one or use many, its a great set to have on the shelf. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tun...

Bontanical Framed Wonderful Romance

Yes, it's been a number of days since you saw a creation from me.... my new schedule got the better of me and I needed to take some time out to recoup, then when I did walk in my craft room it was a disaster, so then the reorganisation phase kicked in, and at the end of that my mojo appeared and fitted perfectly with this weeks CASE the designer challenge at the Global Design project . Two things caught my eye from Stesha's card, the lovely textured background and the frame effect, he's my creation: Try as I did, I couldn't bring myself to put the frame on an angle... maybe it was from all the organising I had done my crafting space as everything is currently in order, sorted and aligned, hahaha, lets see how long that lasts! My colours were determined by the background Botanical Butterfly Sale-a-Bration DSP, Lemon Lime Twist for the win, and so as not to think too hard I just added another 2017 - 2019 InColor.... Powder Pink. The stamped ...

Ink It! Stamp It! with Wonderful Romance

Welcome this years first Ink It Stamp It! blog hop, and we have lots of Occasions and Sale-a-Bration inspired creations to show you. Being the Libran I am, I had a total change of mind, from the Well Said Bundle to the actual creation using Wonderful Romance..... I got so carried away with colouring when using Wonderful Romance the other day I just couldn't stop! I used white embossing powder then water coloured using an Aqua Painter - remember less is more when water colouring, you call always add more ink to get a darker tone, but you can't really take the ink back.  I applied this process with the Mint Macaron leave, adding 2 -3 layers of colour to achieve the depth I was happy with. For the card base I use the Crackle Paint background stamp, I wished I had stamped it off once as the contrast on white was a litlte stark for the water colour image, so I sponged some Crumb Cake for added tone on tone, and I'm really happy with how it finished u...

Introducing Wonderful Romance

The working week is upon me, and much to my dismay I didn't get much crafting achieved over the weekend.... I did spend a day shopping in search of shoes, but that is another story, and it didn't have a happy ending for my wardrobe, but did for my credit card, lol. Speaking of shoes, I do have a thing for them, some would possible say a "romance", so when I had no luck with a shoe purchase, I opted for the next best thing, stamping! and used the Wonderful Romance stamp set for the first time (Wonderful Romance with me and shoes, there is a description, and lets not get started on handbags,  hahaha) The lay out of my card was inspired by this weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge , I really enjoyed the square shape: After Copper embossing the design on my mini note card, I applied Mint Macaron and Highland Heather with an aqua painter, then die cut before sponging a little Crumb Cake on the edges. To continue with the rustic theme, I ruffed up...
