Tasteful Touches with True Love

It's a cold but sunny day here today - one of those mornings where it is so nice and toasty in bed you just don't want to get up, but that won't get things done, so after a small sleep in I was up and about, but alas I couldn't focus on anything, so I started to tidy my crafting space, and before too long I decided that I wanted to use my True Love Designer Series Paper. I used 4 bunches of flowers for this card, 2 layered under the sentiment, and 2 smaller ones on top. The Scalloped Contour die worked beautifully with the Brick & Mortar embossed background - I sponged some additional Crumb Cake to give the bricks some more texture. I took ages to decide on Mint Macaron for the contrast colour, I liked the subtle tone compared to other brighter colours. To finish I added a Linen Thread bow, and some Matte Black Dots. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month.  I’ve listed the products I used...

In Good Taste | All Star Tutorial Blog Hop

Happy Friday and welcome to this month's All Star Tutorial Hop featuring the In Good Taste Suite. So funny story (not so funny at the time), today's card was intended for my tutorial, but..... lets say after significant and repeated technical difficulties (that may or may not have ended in tears) it became my second project for the Design Team. My flowers are water coloured using Magenta Madness and Mango Melody, then fussy cut, the foliage is stamped directly onto the card base with a little splash of Balmy Blue to soften the card base, I've really become a fan of the splatter technique with flowers lately. A thin border of Magenta Madness really made the flowers pop, then to  finish with some pretty Gold Glitter Enamel Dots & Champagne Shimmer Paint in the centre of the flowers for a touch of bling. Be sure to continue through the list below to see more creations from the In Good Taste Suite from the design team: ...

Getting inky with Tasteful Touches

Hello!!! I got inky for what feels like the first time in weeks - I've been doing a lot of sorting and reorganizing in my crafting studio. I broke out the new Tasteful Touches bundle and with colour inspiration from a picture my daughter had done for an anime creation, & a project by Dawn Ferguson for stamp set, I then got inky with Smoky Slate, Seaside Spray & Highland Heather. I was just going to feature the feathers for the theme in this weeks Just Add Ink challenge: But I was curious to see what the image would look like with "texture stamps" too, so I went for it - I'm not sure about the overlapping of the textures, but I think might just be me and my desire for clean edges. The stamping is a mixture of first, second and third generation images.I also used the new Tasteful Textile embossing folder - whilst I adore the Subtle Folder I am over the moon with folder, I think it is going to be agony of choice between these folders movin...
