One for the Boy

I really surprised myself with this card, masculine themed cards don't normally come easy to me. I don't really know what made this masculine card "easy" for me, maybe it was the fact that I used the DSP to determine the colours? Anyway, I'll take whatever it was, because I love this card. For added texture on the heart background I ran it through the Subtle Embossing folder twice, turning 90 degrees for the second pass, creating a crisscross effect. I also raised the outer heart by cutting 2 additional layers for extra height....and partly because I changed my mind from Balmy Blue to Night of Navy, hahaha! I used Stampin' Blends for my colouring, and lastly added some Linen Thread for embellisment. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Be Mine Happily Ever After with Forever Lovely

What a coincidence... it just happens to be my Wedding Anniversary this week and look at the Global Design Project theme: And to help me along the way with my layout, I used this weeks Freshly Made Sketches too: And here is my creation using the Be Mine Stitched Dies and sentiment from Forever Lovely - both just perfect for Engagements, Weddings & Anniversaries. I used Lovely Lipstick and Whisper White only, embossing the card base with the Subtle folder twice, turning it 90 degrees for the 2nd pass through the Big Shot.  A little fussy cutting with the small hearts die cut meant I could spread the hearts further and overlap onto the large sentiment heart too.  For my touch of bling I added Shimmery Crystal Effects to the upper heart.  Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Beautiful Bird Ballad

Wow! where has the week gone, how can it be Thursday already? Following on from the weekend creation session with my daughter, here is the card. I've used some of the gorgeous Bird Ballad DSP for my background - to dress it up a little I used the scallop edge die from the Be Mine die set. I stamped my image then die cut with an oval stitched framelit and coloured with Stampin Blends, then layered on a scalloped oval and to make it pop added a  plain black oval before adding a cute polka dot bow for bling.  The sentiment and inner phrase is from the Special Celebrations stamp set, I really like the mixture of fonts for this birthday occasion. I carried the scalloped edge and floral theme to the inside of the card too, and mask and stamped the leaves, and added the small one freehand - super impressed with my freehand efforts, even if I must say so myself! Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more i...

Farewell Sweet Soiree

It was with mixed emotions that I created this card, the Sweet Soiree Suite set has a special place in my heart as I presented it at On Stage in November 2017 - such a wonderful experience in so many ways. I also used all of the retiring 2017-2019 In Colours in my creation - they are soooo me: I will also miss the Silver Bakers twine, it is a lovely embellishment and is "forgiving for the bow challenged". I thought the scalloped edging was perfect for this feminine card, what do you think? Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month. If you live in Australia and don't already have a demonstrator I'd love love to be yours.  Stamp sets & Framelits: Cake Soirée Clear-Mount Stamp Set , Sweet Cake Framelits Dies Ink:   Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide, Fresh Fig, Berry Burst, Powder Pink, VersaMark Cardstock :  Whisper White, Powder Pink, Berry Burst ...
