Corrugated Falling Flowers

I'm back with one of my favourite sets today, Falling Flowers - I adore the flourish and bold lines on the floral designs. I decided to mix it up with the new Corrugated Dynamic Textured Impressions embossing folder (148026, available 5th September) and played along at Just Add Ink My "Two" are Embossing Powder and Embossing Folder, I embossed my sentiment from A Big Thank You - I just love this sentiment on a floral card. I used Stampin Markers to colour the flowers, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Mango Melody and Daffodil Delight, with Lemon Lime Twist for the leaves. I fussy cut the flourish and used the coordinating  May Flower Framelits to cut the flowers, and added Rhinestone Jewels for bling... But couldn't resist spritzing with a spray of Frost White Shimmer Paint (147046, available 5th September) too - I'm obsessed with this stuff! It really "lifted" the the basic black and stepped the card up a notch. ...

Memory Keeping with Sweet Soiree

I did it, and I couldn't be happier! Way back when I was preparing for OnStage in November I wanted to make a scrapbook page, well, time got the better of me and it didn't happen, but last night I came across the photos I had chosen, so today I've finally made the Scrapbook page, YAY ME! I've used half a sheet of the gorgeous  Sweet Soirée Specialty Designer Series Paper and pre cut elements from the  Sweet Soirée Embellishment Kit - both of these items are retiring on May 31st so be quick before they are gone, and as an added bonus the DSP is also discounted, woot happy days! I used sentiments from Eastern Beauty , and a May Flower Framelit Die to add to the floral arrangement - I just love how easy it is to mix and match Stampin' Up! items. The  Decorative Ribbon Border Punch was also a perfect accompaniment, and lastly a strip of Velvet Ribbon (available June 1st). Here's hoping to this being the first of many more 12 x 1...

Sparkling Falling Flowers

Sparkles, bling and pastels, what more could a girl ask for, talk about my favourite things! I am over the moon with these themes from the Global Design Project and Colour Inkspiration Here is my project - it is safe to say enter my crafting room at your own risk if you don't want any traces of glitter following you out of there! Glitter, glitter everywhere..... I made my version of glitter paper today! I started with a strip of Irresistibly floral Designer Series Specialty paper , using post it notes I covered the stripes and sponged the Inkspiration Challenge colours - LOVE this specialty paper, it is fantastic how you just sponge your colours on and you are left with a beautiful pattern - this product is retiring, stocks are getting low, so get it now before it is gone for ever I wasn't done there, next a coat of Versamark and then on with Heat & Stick powder followed by Dazzling Diamonds - BLING! I also inked with versamark when sta...

Falling Flowers | Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Janneke de Jong

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with special guest Janneke de Jong from the Netherlands. Janneke's blog Happy Stampin' is full of amazing projects, I decided to CASE the card below -  I was drawn in by the colours (haha, pink, funny that!) and also the combination of the positive and negative die cuts. I don't have the Special Reason Bundle that Janneke used for her card, so I have improvised and used Falling Flowers Bundle , here is what I have come up with: I used clear embossing powder to stamp the flowers then water coloured using Watermelon Wonder and Delightful Dijon from the 2014-2016 In Colour suite as well as the sentiments from Dragonfly Dreams are stamped in Tip Top Taupe.  Unlike Stylish Stems the May Flower framelits don't come in 2 pieces, so the detailed die cuts "fully cut" the image. I adhered the die cut to the coloured cardstock and then raised the Whisper White layer with dimensionals. Lastly I add...

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Sarah Berry

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop, today we have the lovely Sarah Berry from the UK joining us special guest and we get to CASE (copy and selectively edit) one of her projects. Here is the project I chose: Here's my project: I wanted to make the hero of my project the beautiful May Flowers Framlits Dies , and did this by creating a "positive/negative" design by positioning of the edge of the plate of the Big Shot and only cutting half the image on Whisper White. Then I cut a 2nd image using coloured cardstock, lined up to the first cut then trimmed and glued in place - another method you could create a similar effect is with an acetate sheet like Kim Oliver has done here . I added the  strip of Ruched Ribbon to border my change in colour then layered onto matching cardstock, then for the finishing touch of a cute little bow. Here's a different view to show the detail of the die cuts: I think Sweet Sugarplum has turned ...
