Abigail Rose Suite with the All Star Tutorial Team

Hello crafters, a new month, means a new All Star Tutorial. This month we are showcasing the  Abigail Rose suite  from the July-Dec 2022 Mini Catalogue. The All Star Tutorial Design Team not only design a Tutorial Project that’s exclusive but we also each design an additional project to share here for further inspiration. I've used the Cottage Rose bundle for the flowers on my card today, with Abigail Rose DSP for the background. I used blending brushes to apply Petal Pink and Old Olive to the stamped images before die cutting them. I added some Highlights with Stampin Blends in the middle of the flowers and edges of the leaves. I used the edge die from Penned Flowers dies for the scalloped edge, and Lovely Labels Pick a Punch for the sentiment, finishing with some Linen Thread and Champagne Rhinestones . Abigail Rose Inspiration Below is a sneak peek of what’s in store with this month’s Tutorial Bundle. You’ll see my teaser in the bottom left of the image.  There is...

Color Fusers Blog Hop | February 2022

Hello crafters, I am super excited to share with you today that I have joined the Color Fusers Design Team!  This month, our colors include Misty Moonlight, Pool Party and Calypso Coral . Misty Moonlight is a colour that I've not used much, and that my fiends is the the beauty of a Colour Challenge. I was  bit thrown wit these colours, so I decided a floral image for my project and created and a variation of a recently discovered technique that I am absolutely loving - freehand frames. The Hand-penned Petals  stamp set looks simply amazing with a hand drawn frame, unlike previous cards I've done using this technique I positioned the image towards the bottom of the card rather than the centre. For some colour variation of the flowers I stamped off on scrap paper once before inking up the larger flower images, with no stamping off for the smaller flowers or leaves. Next I drew the inner frame using a ruler (measuring in an equal distance from each side of the card), then p...

Crafty Challenge Blog Hop with Hand Penned

Hello, the Crafty Challenge blog hop is back this month with a colour challenge, and what a gorgeous set of colours we have: Last week a made a card where I drew a frame, I really like the effect and how simple it was to do - I thought that a hand drawn frame would look great with an image from Hand-Penned Petals, what do you think? After stamping the image and colouring, I placed a stitched Rectangle die over the flowers and traced around the inside with a 0.2 mm ink pen to create the inner frame, then drew the other lines freehand. It was easy to position the sentiment as Hand-Penned Petals is a photopolymer stamp set, the font goes really well with the freehand frame. A card is rarely complete with out some sparkle or bling in my eyes, so I added some Basic Rhinestones. I cant wait to see the other projects using this colour palette, be sure to continue through the list for more inspiration: Blog Hop Index Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tun...

Stampin Dreams Throwback with Hand-Penned Petals

Hello and welcome to this months Stampin' Dreams blog hop, this month we have a THROWBACK THURSDAY theme. I took inspiration and decided CASE (copy and selectively edit) a card a made back in February 2016 , wow that's almost 6 years ago, wowzers - where does time go! And here is a 2022 version of the card: I've used paper from the Friendly Hello Sale-a-bration bundle , and the flowers and sentiment from Hand-Penned Petals . I drew a pencil grid to mark the centre of the card and the masking technique to do "half" of the floral arrangement, then turned, mask the other side and stamped to achieve a wreath of flowers (it's a tad messy under the sentiment, but that's ok it is hidden). The colour theme is quite different to the original card, with Shaded Spruce, Fresh Freesia & Pale Papaya . I used the Laying Circle dies for the sentiment and mounted on Dimensionals , and of course there is a touch of bling with Rhinestone Jewels. I hope you enjoyed your ...
