Color Fusers Blog Hop October 2022

Hello crafty friends, it's time this month's Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, our colors include Early Espresso, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green and Bermuda Bay - to begin with I was stumped, I thought about Sunflowers but then I eyed my Butterfly Brilliance bundle on my shelf and that's where my mojo headed. So butterflies, I was going to stamp in Early Espresso and colour with the other challenge colours, then I thought why not die cut and create a background - the rest is history, with the help of the Hello Beautiful stamp set. It's all to easy to forget about those little stamps we have in our stamp sets, but don't overlook them as they can make beautiful backgrounds.   Be sure to continue on through the rest of the Color Fusers Blog Hop by clicking the button below for lots more inspiration using this month’s colors. Next up is the amazing Melissa Kerman! Click below to return to Janneke Dijkstra de Jong’s blog: Color Fusers Blog Hop Designers: Janne...

Thank you for everything Hues of Happiness

Hello crafty friends, I'm using one of my favourite layouts today with the simply gorgeous Hues of Happiness DSP . I decided to make the card using Pool Party cardstock to complement the blue flowers in a bed of purples, I think it turned out lovely. I added detail to the card front by using the Scalloped edge from the Scalloped Contours Dies , and heat embossed a sentiment in silver from the Color & Contour stamp set .  To finish I added a touch of bling with Rhinestone  Basic Jewels . Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month. I’ve listed the products I used below, just click on the picture and be taken directly to the product.  I truly appreciate your support, it inspires me to keep crafting and helps to keep my blog and YouTube channel running. If you live in Australia and don't already have a Demonstrator I'd love to be yours.  Hues of Happiness DSP Scalloped Contour Dies   Colo...

Awash with Flowing Flowers

Hey there crafters, I have a different take on my "go to" design for using DSP, I think you will like it. I had some scraps of Awash in Beauty DSP left from another project, I die cut 3 small Stylish Shapes squares and added a Balmy Blue mat to create a thin border. Here's where things get a bit different, I cut a 3cm strip of Basic White cardstock and overlaid a layer of Metallic Mesh Ribbon, then mounted on a 3.5cm strip of Rich Razzleberry .  Then I added the DSP squares - TIP: to get good adhesion between the metallic mesh and the 2 layers of cardstock I placed 2 large stamping block on top for 3-5 minutes. While the glue was drying I die cut the scalloped edge using the border die from the Scalloped Contour Dies , then  stamped the sentiment from the Flower Flowers stamp set (retiring soon). All that's left to do is add the strip with the DSP squares to the card front, I also added some Basic Rhinestone Jewels for a little extra bling. Thanks for visiting tod...

This or That? with Abstract Beauty

Welcome back crafty friends, today is Share it Sunday, any colour, any theme, sentiment as long as it is a current item from Stampin' Up! I got on a roll when I did some rearranging/tidying in my craft studio and decided that even though they were small pieces this Abstract Beauty Designer Series Paper was to pretty for the "toss" pile. With a clear work space I got to it, but couldn't decide on Magenta Madness of Night of Navy for the main colour.... so I did both! The card front looked a little bare, so I stamped the small "flowerish" image  and tiny tiny lines from Hello Beautiful stamp set  over the "white space", subtle enough to break it up, but not overpower and take from the DSP. The gold embossed sentiment compliments the pop of gold from the DSP, and I finished with Gold Simply Elegant Trim add Gilded Gems . Be sure to continue through the list below, there will be plenty of ideas to get you creating today: Blog Hop Index Thanks fo...

Hello and welcome the International Blog Highlights winners hop; firstly a want to say to a big thank you to everyone that voted for my project in the International Highlights - I was in the Top 10! For today's card I broke out some new dies, they come as a bundle with the All Squared Away stamp set, and I think these Floral Flower dies are SUPER cute! There are 4 floral designs in the set, I've used 3 in my slimline card. I used 4 of the new In Colors - Evening Evergreen, Polished Pink, Pale Papaya & Fresh Freesia for this slimline card, the sentiment is from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set.
