I've been noticing more and more Easter items in the supermarkets lately.... I may even have given into to my first packet of Hot Cross Buns 😉 And after a request for a tutorial that brought me back to an Easter 2018 post, I got motivated to do my first Easter creation for 2020 (which will also mean I will more than a little prepared when the time comes for Easter treats).  The cute little rabbit is from the Cuckoo for You Stamp set - I stamped it on Soft Suede cardstock and coloured with watercolour pencils. I wasn't trying to get a perfect look with the colouring, it was more an experiment to see how the colours work going over a dark background, and I'm actually quite happy with the result, it has a "child" type quality, which I really like with the stamped image. Welcome to this month's Stampin Friends blog hop, our theme this month is "No Rules", so anything goes! And we have a great giveaway this month...... a Stamparatus!!!! So in the theme of anything goes, and the fact that my scales seem to be heading the wrong way with my diet, I've incorporated chocolate into the theme and created coordinating Easter themed projects I couldn't resist this little Easter basket that Lisa Lange posted on Facebook - I just had to give it a try! I dressed up the Crumb cake texture embossed basket with Calypso Coral Sheer 1/8" ribbon and 1/4" Organza ribbon - they layer perfectly. The weekend is here again, time to get back in the craft room and get creative with yes, NEW TOYS!  I received my Stamparatus delivery earlier in the week along with my Sale-A-Bration freebie - Blossoming Basket Bundle, I am in love with stamp set and embossing folder, here is what I created I really needed this therapy after my 9-5 work week, once I started colouring with my Stampin' Blends things felt so much better!  I love the clean fine lines and detail of this stamp, here's a close up I chose a combination of Light and Dark Pool Party for the main flowers, Light Old Olive, and dash of Light Rich Razzleberry with Pink Pirouette on the small flowers.
