Artfully Layered for #GDP 347 Challenge

Hello crafty friends, it's been a while since I joined in with the Global Design Project - Theme Challenge , but I couldn't resist when I saw Madeleine Mrotzek gorgeous card (you can see it here ). I pulled out my Artfully Layered Bundle before it retires at the end of the month and started creating. I decided on a ombre type theme, using a piece of the Abstract Beauty DSP that also retires soon. I used Mint Macaron with the leaf dies and also used the edge die for some interest on the Basic White Layer.  I used Dimensionals to raise the strip of Basic White and positioned the leaves under it. After stamping the sentiment I added some tiny leaves and Polished Dots and applied a hint of Wink of Stella to the solid leaf under the sentiment and tiny leaves for a touch of bling. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month. I’ve listed the products I used below, just click on the picture and be taken dire...

Artfully Composed with the All Star Tutorial Team

Hello crafters, a new month, means a new All Star Tutorial. This month we are showcasing the Artfully Composed suite from the Jan-June 2022 Mini Catalogue. The All Star Tutorial Design Team not only design a Tutorial Project that’s exclusive but we also each design an additional project to share here for further inspiration. I randomly stamped the card base ad background with 2 stamps from Artfully Layered, then added the border die. I cut the outline dies and created the arrangement under the top edge of the sentiment layer, and to finish added a Lined Tread bow and some Elegant Faceted Gems for a touch of bling. Artfully Composed Inspiration Below is a sneak peek of what’s in store with this month’s Tutorial Bundle. You’ll ...

My mum taught me dress making, and as we are on the "shorter" side she often found that she didn't need the recommended amount of fabric, she lay the pattern or fold the fabric  differently and still have left over fabric. So when it comes to card making it's natural for me to think of ways to saved supplies.  I've used 5 supply saving methods with this card!  1. Keep your off cuts of card stock. It is amazing how often I can use a "scrap" of cardstock to either stamp a sentiment, or add a strip of colour to a card. 2. If you are covering a large area of DSP, trim it to just over the size you will see on the finished card. 3. When making cards with contrasting layers it is often possible to cut a smaller shape in the middle of the larger layer as it will be hidden. 4. I rarely wrap ribbon/twine around ...
