Thanks | Ink it! Stamp it!

Welcome to this months Ink it! Stamp it! Thank You theme showcase. It's always nice to acknowledge a good deed, and what better way than a card to tell someone how much you appreciate their thoughtfulness. I've inked up the stamp set from the Botanical Prints Product Medley, and I will be honest - I wasn't sure about this set.... but once I stamped I was like "oh wow" and then when I coloured... well, I was sold, the rest is history - I can't get enough of images! I used Stampin Blends for colouring after a full day at work, I find colouring therapeutic, so I also wound down and relaxed while creating. Then I cut the images using the coordinating dies - it couldn't be easier (well, actually it could as there are also pre-stamped and coloured sheets in the Medley.... but that is a project for another day). After arranging the die cuts I stamped the banner, which is also a pre-cut element in the medley, and so too the gorgeo...

I've had my first play with the "FREE" Sale-a-bration set "Happy Birthday to you", a lovely feminine set, and matched it with a design from the Best Dressed Designer Series paper. This card came together super quick, and I think looks gorgeous to boot! The ombre tones of the DSP set off the stamp beautifully,  card perfect for birthday, anniversary, wedding or even Mothers day.  I coloured the cake and flowers using Stampin' Blends, you could also use either watercolour pencils or ink with an Aqua Painter. Pretty in Pink this Snowman Season

I am so glad my working week is finally over, and what better way to celebrate than join a blog hop with the Ink It, Stamp It! team. Some days I just need to create with pink, and after the week I've had, this was one of those days! My stamping is simple, with just a hint of Petal Pink, layering on vellum using the Frosted Frames dies, then to bring things to life I added an array of snowflakes uses dies from the Christmas Layers set & spritzed the background with Frost White Shimmer Paint. The fun lines of the snowman images in this set are also carried through into the senitments, I decided to feature one of them inside my card, also adding the cute snowflakes in the set too! Ink It! Stamp It! 3D style

It's the last Friday of the month, that means it's Ink it! Stamp it! time again. This month we are sharing 3D themed inspiration, and I decided to give some Origami a go! I'm over the moon with my 5 pointed Origami Star - I was apprehensive at first as to how long this creation would take, but after my "test run" with plain paper I actually made this star in a jiffy. I made the star using a 6 x 6 inch piece of Pressed Petals Designer Series Paper, which means I can get 4 stars out of one sheet. The finished star measures 9 cm/3.5 inches from one star point across to another. I'm still deciding if I will add some Shimmer Paint for sparkle, I think I will see how it looks on the tree first, and I add if I choose too :) Be sure to visit all the team in the list below and see their wonderful 3D, you are currently visiting Sue Vine - Miss Pinks Craft Spot, to keep hopping around see the list below to see who is up next.
