It's a Cocktails Kinda day

This card sums up my day today, I was feeling very down this morning, but that turned around with messenger chat with some of my stamping besties, I can't thank them enough. I've fallen for this set, I love the mix of stamps, die cuts and mix and match sentiments. To occupy and distract myself this morning I went for a shaker card so I would need to concentrate, and I do love the finished card. I used a variety of colours, Mango Melody with Flirty Flamingo, Costal Cabana with Granny Apple Green for the drinks, and Bermuda Bay and Highland Heather umbrellas. Sequins for Everything from the Holiday Catalogue were perfect for the shaker element. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month.  I’ve listed the products I used below, just click on the picture and be taken directly to the product.  I truly appreciate your support, it inspires me to keep crafting and helps to keep my blog and YouTube cha...

Ahoy There Seaside Shore

Ever start off with a plan in your head and your card turns out totally different? Well, that's what happened today, this was going to be a somewhat simple card with my trying a new technique using Glycerin for blending sponged backgrounds that I saw  Gail O'Neill demonstrate - and it is amazing, the Glycerin just makes the sponge glide on the cardstock, and keeps the ink damp a little longer making it perfect for blending your second colour, I used Soft Sky then Marina Mist  - this technique is amazing! I was inspired to try the new technique when I saw this weeks challenge at Stamp Ink Paper , and it does say you can use any colour medium - I may have used more than one... and ended up with a Shaker Card! I started the project by stamping the underwater plants and then used an Aqua Painter to fill in the colour with Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler and Calypso Coral, next I stamped a fish in Daffodil Delight and added So Saffron shading with the Aqua P...

Peaceful Pines Shaker Card

Ever have the crafting bug, but just don't know what to make? I was like that so I re-visited some Pinterest Pins for inspiration. I loved Narelle's take on Freshly Made Sketches challenge #209 - I haven't used the Peaceful Pines set for a Christmas card this year, so I went and dusted it off, here's my project: This rustic sketched tree from Peaceful Pines  is my favourite, I've used it alot, it creates a lovely effect when using multiple trees. I just adore the little snowflake stamp to create the background, it is so delicate.  My colour theme is courtesy of Fancy Frost Sequins - why re-invent the wheel when Stampin Up! has given us such a wonderful colour combination! Whilst not traditional Christmas colours I just love the cool frosty feel with a pop of pink.  My shaker window was cut with the largest of the Perfect Pines  framelits, then I stamped the rustic tree image behind the shaker cut out and applied Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glit...

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Wendy Cranford

Welcome to the the Crazy Crafters blog hop with special guest Wendy Crawford! We are so excited to have the opportunity to hop with Wendy and get to CASE (copy and selectively Edit) some of her work for you in this hop today.  It took me a while to decide what I would CASE, so many lovely projects as I viewed Wendy's blog, we share a common love of using the Aqua Painter for colouring our projects     I'm also a sucker for a fun fold or a shaker card, so the above card combined with Aqua Painting is the inspiration for my card today, here is my card: These cute little critters are from the Hostess Set - Lots of Love, they are so adorable!  I used my Aqua Painter  to colour them using Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake & Soft Suede with a touch of Blushing Bride blended for their cheeks, here's another view I hope you have enjoyed viewing my project and I have given you inspiration!  Please take time to hop all over the wo...

Balloon Celebration - make a WISH

Balloons and birthdays, what a great combination - today I have made a Shaker Card using the Balloon Bouquet punch. The inspiration for my card is from Global Design Projects Bibi Cameron's Case the Designer theme for #GDP016 I used the following elements: the Shaker Card, Portrait style with centre sentiment & Blues with Whisper White - I changed up Gold to Silver and a little Dazzling Diamonds for extra Bling! I double punched the balloons to make the frame for my 3 mini shaker balloons, I had a mini disaster when I forgot to put the window sheet in my frame; lets just say my craft area has a definite glitter to it now! The sentiment is from the Party Wishes stamp set, and the Balloon celebration (Stamps and punch) Bundle  are launched on January 5th in the 2016 Occasions catalogue. I hope you have inspired you with my project; I would love to update you when I create a post! If you would like to receive an email from me when I do  Click Here . Y ...

Snow Place Friends | Shaker Card

It just had to be done, a shaker card using the incredibly adorable Snow Place Bundle!  How cute are these little Snow Friends!   Thank you Cindy from Freshly Made Sketches for this set - perfect for a shaker card to showcase the Snow Friends family! Technique: I used a  masking  technique to stamp the sentiment so that it would span the length of the card, rather than stamp as per normal - look at the set compared to how I have stamped on the card. I interpreted the sketch to be windows and used that as the basis for the Shaker Card .  I used Silver glass glitter and sequins  sequins (they are in there, just a bit overwhelmed by the glitter)  in windows for snowfall.  Colour Combo: Bermuda Bay and Soft Sky on Whisper White.  I used the new Black Archival ink to stamp the Snow Friends - it is so deep and crisp in colour. I hope you have enjoyed my card today, I would love for your to visit aga...
