Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Shannon Lane

Welcome to Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with special guest Shannon Lane all the way over in Canada, you may be familiar with her blog - Crush On Colour Shannon is a member of the Stampin Up! Artisan team, and we have the task to CASE - Copy and Selectively Edit one of her creations - how exciting!  As soon as I saw her below project I knew that this is what I wanted to CASE I have had a really tough week, our family has said goodbye to our 16yr old Border Collie, she is now in doggy heaven playing with her friend Sasha.  At first I was going to use the Sending Love DSP to make a frame for one of her photos; then I found a photo of her with a ball..... she loved playing ball, she didn't know when to stop, would just keep playing and playing, it was us they would get tired of throwing the ball! Project Life with a touch of Botanical Blooms | GDP032

I've made a mini card with Botanical Blooms today to incorporate into my Project Life layout. The idea for this came about when I saw the Global Design CASE the designer challenge this week, as t he design reminded me of my wedding, Pink (no surprises there) and Silver were my theme colours for our Garden Wedding.   I embossed the sentiment from Suite Sayings  in Silver, and then die cut and stamped/aqua painted/sponged flowers in Blushing Bride and leaves from the  Botanical Blooms Bundle  to create my arrangement. I swapped Mint Macaron for Wild Wasabi so as to better blend with the photo layout. A touch of Wink of Stella, and I was done. The other card is from the Love Story Project Life Accessory Pack , I also stamped that with Blushing Bride, here is the finished layout: Hope you enjoyed viewing my Project Life layout,  I would love to update you when I create a post! If you would like to receive an email from me when I do  Cl...

12 x 12 Project Life pages for under $1

I am lucky to have all the digital images from our Wedding, and they quite large files so I had a fairly high quality image to work with in Photoshop, I used Photoshop Elements 11 as follows: Turn the ruler function on so you have a guide when using your selection tool Crop you image to a square - it doesn't have to be 12 x 12 in size, I found it helped to have the size where I could calculate the image sizes down to 6 x 4, eg 24 x 24 Then using the Rectangularl Marquee tool, set the aspect Fixed Ratio as 6 wide by 4 high for this Project Life layout Then select segments of the square image, and copy into a new image as you go, ending up with 6 separate images,  Print the 6 images - I printed at Harvey Norman for 15 cents each (would be 10 cents if I could have ...
