It's a Beautiful Day with Butterfly Beauty

It's been such a lovely weekend weather wise I haven't been in the craft room much - making the most of the first weekend in weeks to being able to go outside and not burn to a crisp in a matter of minutes.... so in honor of that I have created this card: I wish things were this green, when out and about in the car yesterday most of the grass has suffered dreadfully with our recent heat waves, and has died off - here's hoping that the little rain we had early on Saturday perks it up and it starts growing green again. After cutting the butterflies from the respective large butterfly dies, for something a little different I offset the 2 die cuts rather than layering directly on top of each other, it gives a really nice effect. And the sentiment from Love what you do was perfect..... It's a beautiful day, and I've been enjoying :) Stamp sets & Framelits: Love What You Do , Butterfly Beauty Thinlets , Stitched Shapes , Layering Oval...

Petal Palette with a Raised Frame - a Video Tutorial

Hello, welcome to this months video tutorials, our theme "All About Flowers" I changed my mind so many times about what project to create, and still made changes whilst I was filming, oh my, my Libran indecisiveness was in full swing! The tutorial will show you how to create a project with a raised frame, and one of my favourite ways to decorate a card with a raised frame is, you guessed it, flowers! You can choose any floral stamp set you have to create a card with a raised frame, I chose Petal Palette as it has coordinating Framelits (so no fussy cutting), and a variety of different size flowers and foliage. I was feeling a bit nostalgic, so decided to create a "grubby background" for texture, the large water  wash stamp in Love What You Do was perfect! and I added some pearls for a small touch of bling. Here's the tutorial to have you making a card like this in no time at all, enjoy! I can't wait to see what ...

Share What You Love #GDP148

Hello and happy Friday! I am "Sharing the Love" this Beautiful Day 27 of my DSP challenge! I couldn't resist playing along with Global Design Challenge 148 this week. When I saw the challenge, I knew I had to play along, after all this month is all about DSP for me! I adore the Share What You Love DSP, so that my base CASE element, here's what I was inspired to create: I selected a different design, I felt the need for some greens, and Mint Macaron is soooo devine, and paired with Tranquil Tide and Rich Razzleberry it is a pleasure to the eye. I used the Delicate Lace Edgelits on the Mint Macaron layer to coordinate with the pearlised doily . I wasn't in a fussy cutting mood, so I used 2 of the Foliage Frame Framelits to create the feature leaves, layering behind the gorgeous sentiment from the Love What You Do stamp set , and added some rhinestone jewels for a just a touch of bling. Thanks for visiting today, I hop...

It's a beautiful day with CAS(E) this sketch

I've had so much fun with sketches in the past week I'm playing along at CAS(E) this sketch again this week - after all how could I pass up this amazing sketch I had a plan an then realised it didn't use DSP, oh no, how was I going to fit in my personal DSP challenge to this sketch, but then I laid eyes on Brian's creation an idea popped in my head: I used the Masking Technique so I could stamp the flowers from Love What You Do around the sentiment - I would be so lost with out this technique, I use it all the time! With the stamping done, all that was left was to layer on coordinating  Share What You Love Designer Series Paper on Rich Razzleberry, I felt the stamping needed a little more "lift" so so added a Linen Tread bow and some Artisan Pearls . Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more projects using Designer Series paper this month. If you live in Australia and don't...
