It's a Birthday Bash with Stampin Friends!

Hello and welcome to this month's Stampin Friends Birthday Bash Blog Hop. We have lots of ideas for you for cards and gift packaging, sit back, grab a cuppa and enjoy! I've combined elements from the Annual Catalogue with touch of the Occasions catalogue for my projects today: I love the die cuts in the Window Box Framelits set, the decorative candle thinlet is so cute, and not only that, when cut with Stitched Shapes Framelits  they fit perfectly around the sides of the hexagonal box. And for something a bit different for the box, changed it up so it opens on the side instead of the top. I decided to use a white background and use bright and happy colours, the Narrow Note Cards from the Occasions catalogue were the perfect size for the candles as well as the sentiment from Picnic with You . After layering strips of coloured card stock behind the die cut I popped the "candle element" on the card using dimensionals - simple but effective!...

Thank You with Stampin Friends

Welcome to the Stampin Friends October Blog Hop.  I hope your are ready to see lots of inspiring  Thanksgiving creations.   We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Australia like in the US, but it is always nice to show how much we appreciate what someone has done for you, so I've made a "Thank You" set featuring the Detailed Dragonfly thinlets. The Rose Wonder set had the perfect sized "thank you" for my card, I stamped on vellum and clear embossed it, then all that was left was to add a touch of bling with some sequins. I double cut a larger butterfly in Fresh Fig and Powder Pink and added some Metallic Silver thread between them before adding to my Hexagonal Window Box - the ribbon ...

Stampin Friends Easter Hop

Hello, welcome to the Stampin Friends blog Hop! I am so excited to be a Guest Hopper this month, I hope that you are inspired by the projects created for this months theme - Easter. Make sure that you work you way through the entire Hop by clicking on the names at the end of my post so that you don't miss at thing! Can you believe that Easter is less than a month away! I really must get a move on with preparation of gifts, here is the first of a few that I need before Easter is upon us: I've mixed some old with the new, my basket of goodies is made using the new Window Box thinlets and the card features the Circle of Spring wreath. The base of the basket was easy to make using the Window Box thinlets. The Hexagon is cut in half and the second diecut is also trimmed to remove some of the bulk, to create the "basket weave" I used the cut outs from the horizontal die cuts and wove them back into the basket and glued in place. I added a half in...
