Delightfully Simple Daisies

Hi there, welcome back!  I have been crazy busy this week. New catalogue means lots of new things to play with, but also means craft room re-organisation and preparation of product shares! I took a quick break from shares preparation to make this simple card so that I don't feel like I am totally neglecting my new toys We all love looking at our gorgeous Designer Series Papers, and the Delightful Daisy paper is no exception - it is just incredible, so many gorgeous patterns to choose from   But guess what - you need to cut into your papers to share and create joy - I've done just this with Delightful Daisy.  Night of Navy and Daffodil Delight are not go to colours for me, but this this paper is just so gorgeous I couldn't help myself! And how about the new Double Stitched Ribbon - 2 stitching designs to choose from, crisscrosses on one side and plain stitching on the other, how versatile! These are just a couple of the new products availabl...

Weathered Hardwood by Gorgeous Grunge

I've been experimenting with a shabby chic style today, using Hardwood background stamp trying to get a weathered effect, I'm quite happy with the effect some sponging and Gorgeous Grunge has had on this project today   The idea to try a weathered, shabby chic effect came about when I was contemplating how I could use the lovely colours in Pals Paper Arts challenge this week - inspiration comes from the oddest of memories,.... I had a flash back of a weather wooden seat. I've used a base of Very Vanilla, I stamped the ink off of the Gorgeous Grunge  and randomly stamped, then I stamped over with Hardwood  using Crumb Cake and sponged the edges.     Now I had this lovely background, I incorporated the lay out from CAS(E) this sketch       I knew I wanted to have a butterfly as a feature - Butterfly Basics bundle  is great, 3 framelits to choose from, and keeping with the weathered look I incorporated anothe...

Butterfly Basics | MM422

Welcome crafters, today I have given my Butterfly Basics stamp set another work out!   The inspiration for the layout is from this weeks challenge at Mojo Monday Colour Combo Todays card features the Rich Razzleberry, Blushing Bride and Wild Wasabi on Very Vanilla . Techniques I have double stamped the centre piece using the Stamp-a-ma-jig with Blushing Bride then Rich Razzleberry stamped of once so that it would blend rather than overpower.  I stamped of the ferns too. I finally decided on sponging for the square layer, using Blushing Bride then edging with Rich Razzleberry. I also layered the "stripe" for a little more depth.  the Birthday sentiment is from Petite Pairs. Below is the inside of the finished card, repeating the stamping off technique. Whilst I have only used the stamps today, don't forget, Butterfly Basics is available as a bundle (stamps and framelits), and better still you save 15% when purchased as a Bun...

Butterfly Basics | Warm Pink

I am very excited to show of what I have created with new bundle that arrived yesterday - Butterfly Basics, I am loving it! I have taken inspiration from 2 challenges for today's card: I did my weekly visit to my favourite Challenge's; Global Design Projects "Case the Designer" is an awesome challenge as you can take inspiration from any element on the card - theme, layout, colours or stampset.  I just loved the layout and layers in Kylie Bertucci's card, and I couldn't go past Blushing Bride at StampInkPaper - so I combined both challenges for my card. I tend to like cool pinks, so the use of Early Espresso and Gold with Blushing Bride took me away from my natural colour combos - I love where SIP took me with this challenge.     Technique & Colours: I stamped off Early Espresso so that it wasn't overpowering the delicate Blushing Bride, and brightened the card by using Very Vanilla as a base for the lovely layers...
