Hello crafty friends, I have a super cute card to share with you today!  The Happiest Hippos stamp set and coordinating Hippo Dies are both rewards you can earn FREE with a qualifying purchase during Sale-a-bration. I used a combination of Grey Granite & Smoky Slate Stampin Blends for colouring using Ivory for the chest and nose, how stinking cute is this hippo!!!!! My project uses the Sweet Candy Canes bundle , and I decided to use a non-traditional colour theme of Polished Pink and Coastal Cabana. I've used Deckled Rectangle dies for my layers I've also used the Sale-a-bration Gold & Silver Specialty Paper , the silver stripes add some Christmas Bling along with the Silver Metallic Ribbon bow. Hello crafty friends welcome to this month's Blogging Friends blog hop where we have a mash up of projects featuring items from the new July - Dec Mini Catalogue & Sale-A-Bration! I anxiously awaited my preorder in anticipation... only to find that I had miss ordering a punch for what I was planning to make, so onto Plan B = Sweet Gingerbread . I love creating Christmas scenes, and this bundle makes it so easy. I framed my scene with the large scalloped die from Give it a Whirl with the largest circle from Stylish Shapes inlaid to give a nice stitched edge. I combined to of the sentiment stamps in the set for the inside of the card. I've also used the Silver & Gold 6" x 6" Specialty Paper from Sale-a-bration to give some bling to the front of the card.  There are 2 designs in the paper, spots and stripes in both Gold and Silver, ideal to dress up a card quickly. Hello crafters, I got inky this afternoon to join this weeks TGIF challenge which is all about Sale-a-bration! Speaking of Sale-a-bration,... have you heard - due to issues with stock availability in early January Sale-a-bration has been extended in the South Pacific til March 16th. For my project today I grabbed the Friendly Hello stamp set , and stamped along one edge of my card front using scraps of paper to mask the images so they neatly overlapped each other. After adding the solid foliage, I stamped my sentiment from the Biggest Wish stamp set , then I picked up a Blending Brush and added Fresh Freesia lightly over the floral images, concentrating the colour on the centre of each flower. Next I blended a strip of Soft Sea Foam, followed by Balmy Blue. Then a splattered a little of each colour using Stampin Write Markers (masking with scraps again), then splattered a touch of Basic Black over everything. Let's put a positive spin on the beginning of the week with a quick card made with Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series Paper - yours FREE with qualifying purchase during Sale-a-Bration. Speaking of Sale-a-Bration, due to supply delays in early January, here in the South Pacific Sale-a-bration shop, host, and join  has been extended til 16 March at 11:59 p.m . (AEDT). This Designer Series Paper is super cheerful, you get 48 sheets: 4 each of 12 double-sided designs,and comes in a 6" x 6" (15.2cm x 15.2cm) size. I used the Stitched Rectangle dies to cut the DSP, then mounted on Basic white cardstock that was approx 2mm bigger, then attached to the card base. The Hello sentiment comes from the Forever Fern stamp set - I got creative and used the smallest stitch rectangle, passing through the Stampin Cut & Emboss machine twice to re-size to fit the sentiment (not sure if it was more luck than skill as it resized perfectly!!!)
