Celebrate with #GDP171

Wow, what a crazy weekend, I haven't accomplished much of what I set out, but after way too many hours I finally have a new phone, and have it all set up (fingers crossed anyway), I'm sure it's not supposed to be as hard as the day I just had with phone providers! So now I get to craft, yay! and I found that the way I'm feeling right about now is very much reflected in my card, and also for the theme for the Global Design Project   Here's what I've created: I used the new Rectangle Stitched Framelits for the first time, soooo many sizes to choose from in one set, and double stitching! A great way to create a frame for your design... I am in love! After I got over my excitement of the framelit frame, it was back to stamping, the 3 tone sentiment was created by first masking the lower portion of the stamp so that only Celebrate would be inked, then using a dauber, sponging with Pinapple Punch first, then carefully applying Lovely Lips...

Punch Art Balloon

I've been unwell the past few days, I've not felt like doing much on the crafting front, and, well, my mojo isn't quite here so, I popped on to You Tube to checkout what is going on in the crafting world - there are always great techniques to see & learn from. Todays's card is a CASE from a Jennifer McGuire you tube tutorial - I've changed it up a bit and used all Stampin' Up! item's to create my Punch Art project . I used a large Layering Oval to create my balloon, and bow from the Cookie Cutter punch for where the string ties to the balloon, as this month is a DSP Challenge for me, I added a strip of Brights DSP to the edge of the card.  The fun sentiment is from Picture Perfect Birthday , and of course I added a little bling - metallic pearls .  Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more projects using Designer Series paper this month. If you live in Australia and don't...

Peeking in with Animal Outing

Something a bit different for me today, a CAS (clean and simple) project for this months Birthday themed Stampin' Dreams Hop, and I can't wait to see what the rest of the hoppers have to share with us. I've used a couple of the cute critters from the Animal Outing stamp set to create my design, I was drawn to the giraffe popping his head up, and then I thought of the sentiment from Pretty Kitty... a little masking to remove "hello" and adding a few dot's to lead to the inside of the card, but it needed something more, that's when I saw those adorably cute "eyebrows" on the frog, perfect! I stamped the images with Memento and was about to use Stampin Blends when I realised the colour would bleed through (fine when you are using layers, but unusually for me, not on this card), so I changed Water Colour pencils, and melted the colours with Blender  Pen Grab your favourite beverage and continue you way through...

Enjoy the little things Video Blog Hop | Repeat Stamping Technique

Thank you for joining us again for our "Enjoy the little things in life - Design Team Video Blog Hop". this month we are all showing you a technique. I'm sure you will pick up inspiration from the Design Teams creations, as well as some great ideas and tips including videos that will help you to be more creative.  My creation today uses Repeat Stamping - this  technique can be used for many creations - I've used it to create an oversized Double Slider Card, oversized as I needed to fit 50 candles on the card! I repeat stamped the 50 candles using the Stamparatus using the Picture Perfect stamp set, this time featuring Lemon Lime Twist, Island Indigo & Tranquil Tide for my base colour theme, here is what the card looks like fully extended: You may have seen my original  card featuring pink candles back in late February, I had lots of requests for a video of how to make the card, so here it is! It does take a while and there are a fe...
