That Paper - Hues of Happiness

I am really enjoying the poor weather this weekend, it's so nice to be inside and be creative! My card today is inspired by this weeks Global Design Challenge and by a Rochelle Blok  creation (you can see her card here ) I decided to use both a floral design and the main colours in the CASE the designer challenge When I saw the colours I thought of "that paper" and went to my stash, sadly the Hues of Happiness DSP is retiring, but oh what a DSP this has been - matching dies to cut the flowers, and such gorgeous gorgeous colours! To fill out the length of the slimline card I cut floral outline dies from Artistic Dies . I filled the middle of the card using the Hues of Happiness DSP and coordinating Blossoming Happiness dies. Grab a pack of the Hues of Happiness DSP before it is gone, you can see all the retiring items at my online store - remember while stocks last, so shop now! Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspi...

Happy Birthday with Stitched Stars

Welcome back crafty friends, this afternoon I thought I would join a sketch challenge over at CAS Colours & Sketches - what better way to get mojo running after a busy weekend.  I love the idea of the repeat sentiment stamping, it's a great way to make a statement on your card, here's what I was inspired to create: After choosing the Happy Birthday sentiment from Artistically Inked stamp set I used the Stamparatus to do the repeat stamping, keeping it simple with just Black ink. For a pop of colour I cut stars with Pacific Point, Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight, lastly adding some Matte Black Dots Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month.  I’ve listed the products I used below, just click on the picture and be taken directly to the product.  I truly appreciate your support, it inspires me to keep crafting and helps to keep my blog and YouTube channel running. Stampers Showcase - Black & White

Well the end of May is here..... that means it's time for the crew at Stampers Showcase to give you some inspiration, this months theme: Black & White. As simple as it sounds, when you then try to create a card with only 1 colour of ink, well that can be a challenge, lucky for me I had a BBB delivered on Friday so I had lots of new catalogue goodies to try, and this is what I came up with: I started by stamping the long watercolour image from Artistically Linked across the card, then using a dauber blended the black ink, and blended, and blended..... until I got a nice solid black base to the card. Then to choose scripted or plain text from Biggest Wish for the sentiment, or a mix? Any would work, I finally decided to use scripted font. This design is also great for masculine card, and could also be done in a different colour scheme. I can't wait for you to see all the other inspiration from the new catalogue in the hop today, so why don't you go ahead and click the n...
