Birthday Memories for a special 50th

It's the middle of the week, time to catch up after busy past few birthday weeks. It was the Birthday Memories suite to the rescue for me when I have had to make so many male theme cards recently. This is such an amazing Suite, you are so spoilt for choice! and even more choice when you incorporate the Happy Birthday thinlet. What I love about this card is the happy cheerful colours, Daffodil Delight, Real Red and Pacific Point are such a vibrant combination - courtesy of the Birthday Memories Suite, and the pattern of the DSP is just fabulous.   I changed up the Happy Birthday die cut by snipping the words apart and adding the "special big five zero" in the middle raised up on mini dimensionals, finishing of with a strip of 1/4 in Stitched edge ribbon. Other products used to make this card: Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project.  I would love to update you when I create a post! If you would like to receive...

Double trouble with the Cat Punch

Lots of birthdays this month for family and friends, and double trouble as my husband is a twin!  I don't normally mixed so many sets together when making a card, but I it just happened this way when creating a card for my brother in law, but it does show how versatile Stampin' Up! products are, so easy to mix and match. I knew I wanted to use large numbers on the card (just so he was sure he knew was 50, hahaha), then I saw the Cat Punch - he has 2 cats, that's when things came together! I added the flag from Birthday Delivery , using the bone folder to curl and to give a 3D effect of it blowing in the breeze. The detail in the stamps in this set is amazing, and being photopolymer it is quite easy to line up the sentiment with the flag - I found stamping the sentiment first and then lining up the flag got me the best result. Likewise stamping the Cat faces was simple as the Spooky Cat set is also photopolymer. I wouldn't be without the Large Number...

Celebrate with Ink it! Stamp it!

I'm so excited to be part of the first Ink it! Stamp it! Blog Hop. This month we will be sharing "Celebration" themed projects, I'm sure you will be inspired by what we have to show you. My project was made as a special request, it took quite some time, but the end product is so worth it! The theme requested for this Birthday box was "Bling" and Turquoise - I had lots of fun with glittler!  I used lots of products completing this Birthday Box, I got quite carried away!  The Birthday Blast Stamp set and Star Blast thinlets worked a treat, and Birthday Bright had the perfect Celebrate sentiment. The Number of Years set is fabulous to personalise birthdays and anniversaries too. I couldn't believe how mammoth this was to create, but when you think about it, the inside of the box alone is 8 card fronts! I adore how the shading came out on the Balloons. Here's a close up of the stars in the centre piece I made litt...

Mini Money Pocket

There are just times when it is really hard to find a gift for someone, and the best option that you have is either a gift card or plain cold hard cash! With just such a dilemma, I came up with this design for a quick way to dress up the gift of cash The Balloon Pop up thinlets have the perfect thinlet to die cut a tag that opens, as well as additional ones to create the bows! I had been so taken by the balloon pop up I had missed how amazing the tag thinlets are! I created a little pocket at the bottom of the tag so that the money can just be slotted in without any fears that it may fall out. I dressed up the project by adding some colourful Party Animal DSP, and also used the Large Number thinlets to personalise for the recipient. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project.  I would love to update you when I create a post! If you would like to receive an email from me when I do  Click Here . Birthday Blast for a special grandfather

Today 's card is very special to me, my daughter and I worked together with this creation for her grandfather - I'm so proud of her, she decided on design and colours for this card. The first thing that my daughter wanted to use was the Star Blast framelits , she liked the effect of the shooting stars - a bit like fireworks! She also liked the matching stamp set Birthday Blast for extra stars and swirls as well as the birthday sentiment. Next she decided on the colours - she like the dark blue of Dapper Denim and the bright Bermuda Bay, I suggested Pool Party to go with them and she said "that's epic" I set up the Bigshot sandwich for her and she cranked it through and cut them out.  Remember to keep the stars that are cut too, as you can see she used them to decorate the card.  I helped with the stamping, layering and gluing of the framelits. Once these parts were in place she added the stars, and there you have it - our card for he...

Balloon Adventures Shaker - Happy 18th!

I love a shaker card, and I had the perfect reason to create this one! Happy 18th Cooper! The Balloon Pop-Up die can be used as it's name suggests - for a pop up in the middle of a card, but also makes a great panel that can be used for a shaker card; I "modified" the die cut removing the balloons so that I could add 18 to my card - Number of Years is such a great set to have on hand to be able to make a card for a specific occasion. As you can see it is the perfect panel to create a shaker card! I fussy cut the "Party On!" banner and mounted using dimensionals. I also stamped the inside of the card Both the Balloon Pop-Up thinlets and Balloon Adventures stamp set are part of the Party Animal product suite - it is such a fun and colourful suite! Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project.  I would love to update you when I create a post! If you would like to receive an email from me when I do  Click Here . You ca...
